Leveraging Dark Slope Studios’ Warehouse Scale Motion Capture Stage and Proprietary Virtual Production Pipeline the Series is the First in Studios Upcoming Slate of Real Time Content

10 JANUARY 2022 (TORONTO, ON)Dark Slope Studios, the Toronto-based virtual production and metaverse development company, today announces that BABBLE BOP! a musical dance series for preschoolers produced for Peacock, is now available via NBCUniversal’s streaming service. The animated series was produced on Dark Slope’s warehouse-scale motion capture stage, utilizing its proprietary pipeline of virtual production tools and techniques that include motion tracking and real time rendering.

BABBLE BOP! is a foot-tapping, hand-clapping, baby-bottom wiggling, sing-along world of music, dance and preschool play. With a mix of new takes on classic nursery rhymes and original songs, this inclusive short-form series is intended for social and emotional learning for the pre-k set. The series is designed to be educational as well as holding up a magnifying glass to the little things in life: having a snack, dressing up, drawing with crayons, watching the clouds, or playfully helping their parents as best they can.

The series consists of 72 two-and-a-half-minute original and nursery rhyme songs, delivered in half-hour themed blocks. The series was delivered seamlessly with a nimble team and an expedited timeline by leveraging Dark Slope Studios’ proprietary pipeline of virtual production tools. The studios filmed actors in motion capture suits, imported the data into unreal engine  (the world’s most advanced 3D creation tool) and rendered the results in real time so any adjustments to movement or lighting could be adjusted without delay. The animated movements are realistic and agile bringing to life the cast of characters in the series.

The series is now streaming on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service. Full series credits included below.
